Preacher Season 3

Image
Okay, let's talk about Preacher . If you haven't read the comics, you should and than check out the show. The show Preacher is an adaptation to the comics written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Steve Dillon. Its got it all, vampires, angels, demons, gods, various other supernatural beings, and more. Certain moments in the show are straight from the comics. Preacher is a mixture of soul splitting, corpse reviving, and blood guzzling goodness. Since Preacher is in season 3, let's recap...my way. I don't want to spoil to much if you haven't seen the show yet. Plus, if you're watching season 3 than you already know what happens. Season 1 - The show starts out with a 'comet' that hurtles toward Earth and kills a Nairobi preacher. Two mysterious men, Fiore and DeBlanc investigate the death. Okay, now in Annville, Texas, Jesse Custer is a preacher of a failing church in the small town. Now let's jump to Cassidy, he's an Irish vampire who dri

Voltron: Legendary Defender SDCC EXCLUSIVE

Image
Voltron: Legendary Defender is consistently one of the best shows on TV. My older daughter put me on and I'm addicted. I got some  really rad kids.  Anyway, this show has adventure, heart, thrills, huge laughs, and a big ol’ robot made of lions, what's not to like. With the recently dropped sixth season, the series hit another high mark with the gang finally realizing Prince Lotor’s true machinations, and a new realization of where they have to go next. Those seven episodes were so good it was sad to finish them. I cried really hard on the inside, no lie. So the next question now is, when will season seven hit Netflix!? Well, if you happen to be going to San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in July, the Voltron panel will give fans a sneak peak of the next season premiere! YAY! On Friday, July 20, 10:15am Pacific time, at San Diego Convention Center room 6BCF , the executive producers Joaquim Dos Santos and Lauren Montgomery, story editor Josh Hamilton, and actors Rhys Darby

Detroit: Become Human

Image
In Detroit, the year is 2038. Thanks to technological advances and a shift in manufacturing demand, the Motor City has turned into Android City. Detroit: Become Human is a story that focuses on three androids: a domestic servant model named Kara, who attends to a young girl and her drug-addict abusive father. Another servant named Markus who cares for a kind, elderly painter. And lastly, a prototype law enforcement model named Connor, who is investigating a rash of android “deviants” who have been violently turning on their masters. The player’s perspective hops among the three as Kara goes on the run, Markus begins organizing an android uprising, and Connor attempts to get to the bottom of why so many of his kind are rebelling. Each narrative thread unspools on its own for the first few hours, as players make decisions that redirect the story and snip off alternate outcomes. Spare a character’s life, and he may turn up to help out at some point down the road. Make an enemy, and

DC Universe Streaming Service Update

Image
Oh no, Netflix...DC's is going to drop-kick you in the balls! DC announced back in April 2017 that they had big plans to launch it's very own streaming service, which promised an "immersive experience" for DC fans. The plan is for a new digital service that gathers a large backlog of past DC television shows, plus brand new exclusive material. Something similar to Netflix. Here's every that we already know about the new streaming service. The name of the outlet is going to be called DC Universe . The service is expected to include many animated and live-action shows (and possibly movies) as DC can possibly assemble all in one place. Like Netflix, DC Universe will make a heavy push into original and exclusive content. Titans - Titans will be based on the many and various Teen Titans series that DC has published since the 1960s – follows a group of young superheroes recruited from every corner of DC Comics. Swamp Thing- When CDC researcher Ab

Life Is Strange 2

Image
Dontnod Entertainment came out of nowhere with a FREE episode of Life Is Strange 2 called The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit . In this game, you take control of Chris Eriksen, a ten-year-old boy on what he expects to be a typical Saturday morning. From the offset, it’s hard not to be charmed by Chris’ playful sense of adventure and vivid imagination as he dreams of becoming a superhero. Chris has come up with his own, Captain Spirit. Captain Spirit goes on adventures and even battles the evil Mantroid. As you guide Chris through this long Saturday morning, you learn more about his tragic backstory of his family. Chris’ father is struggling with alcoholism and the loss of his wife. Which in return makes Chris' dad kind of a dick toward Chris, but that's just my opinion. I love the Life is Strange games as they are an open world with tons of activities for players to do and in any order the player chooses. In this episode, you go on a treasure hunt, build a su

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Image
Are you excited for Lara's new adventure? I am . Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the third installment of the rebooted Tomb Raider series. In this game, Lara is agile as ever, climbing trees and getting the drop on enemies remains a solid approach as seen at E3. When a Trinity soldier gets too close, you can use a stealth kill that has Lara fire a rope arrow at the soldier, drop from the tree, and string him up. The stealth is so insane that you could covered Lara in mud. Too f*cking cool! Let's get to the plot of this game. We know that Lara Croft will stop at nothing in order to prevent the Maya Apocalypse. She must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour as she races to defeat Trinity once and for all. Jonah also returns as Lara's loyal friend to help her and he’s needed more than ever. At times he acts as a moral compass, other times he may question Lara’s motives. He’s always Lara’s friend, but this time you’l

Teen Titans Season 6?

Image
TITANS GO! If you haven't heard then you must be living under a rock. My mans Beast Boy, aka Greg Cipes, tweeted a while back saying if Teen Titans Go! To The Movies makes over $250 million at the box office we (the fans) will get the original Teen Titans Season 6. Then it was confirmed by fellow titan Raven, aka Tara Strong. So go and see it, even if you hate it, Azarath Metrion Zinthos! Teen Titans Go! cast is jam-packed with awesome goodness. Nicolas Cage is finally playing the comic book icon, Superman. If you didn't know, let's make a long story short, Cage was supposed to play the Man of Steel in Tim Burton's scrapped 1998 movie Superman Lives but Will Smith's Wild Wild West won the studio over. Anyway...the movie also co-stars singer/songwriter Halsey as the Amazon princess Wonder Woman, who travels around in her signature invisible jet. Rapper Lil Yachty plays Green Lantern and Will Arnett returns as the Dark Knight himself, Batman. And I ca

Retro Replay The Show

Image
Do you love classic video games? Do you love Troy Baker and Nolan North? Then you have found internet paradise. No joke, these two have launch a show on YouTube called  Retro Replay . In this show they go back in time and replay video games that most of us grew up on. Besides playing the games, they goof off with funny banter, character impersonations, share some life experiences, rage a little, while chilling out in a cozy basement. Both Troy and Nolan are considered to be among the best in their line of work. These very talented men have numerous awards under their belt, and without a doubt, propelled video game voice acting to a whole new level. Troy has voiced various characters across multiple platforms, including anime, film and, of course, video games. You might recognize Troy by his roles as Two-Face in Batman: Arkham series, Booker DeWitt in  Bioshock Infinite  or, most notably, Joel from  The Last of Us . Booker DeWitt And now Troy's better half,

The Last Of Us Part 2

Image
Sony's E3 games last week have been insane, but the one game that stood out, to  me at least , was and still is Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part 2.  This game has been enigmatic. The gameplay shows us a much older Ellie, killing her way through a very detailed and realistic level. My favorite part has to be when Ellie stabs the cult member in the head from under the car. Insane! Definitely a new way to use stealth and to interact with the environment, and I'm liking that. In The Last of Us Part 2 trailer , there's still a lot more questions than answers. Like, no release date, really? Also there's no Joel, come on. What happened with Ellie's mom? And who exactly are the coat wearing cult Ellie's fighting? Those people are nuts, they sure like to hang and disembowel people. Plus we've yet to see a clicker, what the hell? Naughty Dog last left us with Joel basically dooming humanity when he stopped the Fireflies from performing a lethal op

Batman Ninja

Image
We all know that Marvel has been dominating theater's with their MCU, while DC on the other hand have been killing it with their constant stream of animated movies. A lot of DC's animated movies are adaptions of classic stories. The latest one is Batman being a ninja. Okay, some of you are going to roll your eyes and/or huff and puff, but this animation is (from my pov) insane. Batman Ninja is fast, but clear on what is exactly happening. This movie is gorgeous. The textures of the scenery looks like an old Japanese painting. This animation will amaze you, I kid you not. Plus there's not any deep symbolic meanings like in other Batman stories. Now the character's, the Joker looks like an oni daimyo, Red Hood take the appearance of a monk, even Bane comes around as a sumo wrestler, and Robin. Alright, this is the only thing that makes me cringe. Damien Wayne's hair looks like someone zigged him in the barber chair, but that's just my opinion. Also there
