Batman: The Animated Series in HD

Image
On July 6, DC announced that their upcoming streaming service, DC Universe , will be showing the first two seasons of Batman: The Animated Series. We already knew Batman: The Animated Serie s would be heading to the service when it launches later this year, alongside a host of other DC shows and movies. I mentioned this announcement a week or two ago in a previous blog post. You're probably thinking, why the f*ck are you bringing it up again, right? I'll tell you why. Batman: The Animated Series will be in HD for the first time! A new tweet from the official DC Universe account on Twitter officially confirmed that, for the first time ever, season 1 and season 2 of legendary cartoon will be available in HD. The specifics of BTAS is still not clear. Will the show will be in standard 720p HD or 1080p HD or even 4K UHD? Or maybe this will be fans’ early access to see the show in crisp cleanliness before it store shelves later this year? Yet again, all we can do is wa

Batman #50

Image
Okay, today is the day, Batman and Catwoman get married? Writer Tom King urge fans to avoid the articles for potential spoilers and if the worst had already happened, just give the comic a chance anyway. I did. If you haven't read Batman #50 then STOP HERE and get it because SPOILERS are ahead... Batman #50 begins with Bruce and Selina deciding that they should really just elope (all while beating up Kite Man). Pretty bad-ass to be talking about wedding plans while kicking ass, right? Bruce can find a judge, they’ll each bring a witness, and they’ll meet at dawn on the rooftop where Bruce proposed, about a year ago, to pledge their vows. Alright, long story short...Selina writes a letter confessing that, in her mind, marrying Bruce is an act that would destroy Batman. "I wish I could give my life, but I can’t," she concludes. "I have to give more. My sacrifice is my love. It’s you. With all my love, Cat." Selina basically leaves Bruce waiting on

A Fowl American

Image
A Fowl American is a political parody animated television show created by Greg Cipes and Kevin Coulston that you can watch on YouTube . This show is funny, witty, and did I mention that it's f*cking hilarious! Synopsis - Humanity has been wiped out. Animals rule the earth this time around. Under President Rump, history seems to be repeating itself. Sad. The governments are created of Animals, by Animals and for Animals, anything is possible in this 2D animation. A Fowl American takes jabs and makes fun of current events based off of President Trump, First Lady Melania, Ivanka Trump, and more. It's no secret that many people aren’t happy with Donald Trump, you can say that again. This parody pokes fun at all of the crazy rants and injustice acts Trump and the Presidential administration dish out, pure genius. Basically, it feels really good to laugh out loud since there’s so much despair in America nowadays. The show also stars an amazing cast of talented voic

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 13

Image
On Thursday, FX finally announced the premiere date for season 13 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia . The show comes back this fall but sadly, it sounds like they won't all be back together scheming at Paddy's Pub. What we know for the upcoming season is that Charlie hopes to have a child with The Waitress, Mac sets out to understand his newfound sexuality, Dee takes feminism to new heights, and Frank goes to great lengths for the Gang to experience the greatest moment in Philadelphia sports history...an Eagles Super Bowl victory! It all sounds great as Kitten Mittens , but what about the inventor of the D.E.N.N.I.S system , our favorite sociopath, Dennis Reynolds? Dennis left at the end of season 12 by stepping up to be a father, so it is unclear on how big or small Dennis' role will be in the new season. But we are talking about Dennis Reynolds here. Come on, he's bound to get bored, right? He can't do the right thing forever, can he? It would be ni

Preacher Season 3

Image
Okay, let's talk about Preacher . If you haven't read the comics, you should and than check out the show. The show Preacher is an adaptation to the comics written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Steve Dillon. Its got it all, vampires, angels, demons, gods, various other supernatural beings, and more. Certain moments in the show are straight from the comics. Preacher is a mixture of soul splitting, corpse reviving, and blood guzzling goodness. Since Preacher is in season 3, let's recap...my way. I don't want to spoil to much if you haven't seen the show yet. Plus, if you're watching season 3 than you already know what happens. Season 1 - The show starts out with a 'comet' that hurtles toward Earth and kills a Nairobi preacher. Two mysterious men, Fiore and DeBlanc investigate the death. Okay, now in Annville, Texas, Jesse Custer is a preacher of a failing church in the small town. Now let's jump to Cassidy, he's an Irish vampire who dri

Voltron: Legendary Defender SDCC EXCLUSIVE

Image
Voltron: Legendary Defender is consistently one of the best shows on TV. My older daughter put me on and I'm addicted. I got some  really rad kids.  Anyway, this show has adventure, heart, thrills, huge laughs, and a big ol’ robot made of lions, what's not to like. With the recently dropped sixth season, the series hit another high mark with the gang finally realizing Prince Lotor’s true machinations, and a new realization of where they have to go next. Those seven episodes were so good it was sad to finish them. I cried really hard on the inside, no lie. So the next question now is, when will season seven hit Netflix!? Well, if you happen to be going to San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in July, the Voltron panel will give fans a sneak peak of the next season premiere! YAY! On Friday, July 20, 10:15am Pacific time, at San Diego Convention Center room 6BCF , the executive producers Joaquim Dos Santos and Lauren Montgomery, story editor Josh Hamilton, and actors Rhys Darby

Detroit: Become Human

Image
In Detroit, the year is 2038. Thanks to technological advances and a shift in manufacturing demand, the Motor City has turned into Android City. Detroit: Become Human is a story that focuses on three androids: a domestic servant model named Kara, who attends to a young girl and her drug-addict abusive father. Another servant named Markus who cares for a kind, elderly painter. And lastly, a prototype law enforcement model named Connor, who is investigating a rash of android “deviants” who have been violently turning on their masters. The player’s perspective hops among the three as Kara goes on the run, Markus begins organizing an android uprising, and Connor attempts to get to the bottom of why so many of his kind are rebelling. Each narrative thread unspools on its own for the first few hours, as players make decisions that redirect the story and snip off alternate outcomes. Spare a character’s life, and he may turn up to help out at some point down the road. Make an enemy, and
